Santiago / Easter Island
Transfer to the airport for the flight to Easter Island. After settling into your accommodations at explora Rapa Nui, meet the staff for orientation and to discuss your schedule. Your time includes a variety of guided hikes, bike rides and fishing and snorkeling explorations to create your ideal journey. (L,D)

Easter Island
Enjoy two days of adventure, delving deep into Chile’s “island of a thousand mysteries” as you hike or ride bikes with your guide. A few of your options are detailed below, but our knowledgeable Travel Planner and the hotel staff can help guide your itinerary. (B,L,D Daily)
Hike: Papa Vaka Tongariki
Begin at Papa Vaka, where petroglyphs have been preserved in a collection of exposed rocks. Walk through the surrounding fields, observing traditional agriculture, and end our hike at Ahu Tongariki, the largest platform on the island and the Pacific’s biggest ceremonial site.
Hike: Te Miro O One
Walk along the coast, passing through prairies and crops and observing several archaeological sites. The hike ends at the archaeological platform Ahu Akahanga, the resting place of Hotu Matu’a, the first king.
Bike: Tongariki
Ride our bikes to Ahu Tongariki, which boasts 15 fully preserved moais. During our journey we pass by several archaeological sites and then continue our exploration towards Anakena, to enjoy a swim at the beach.
Snorkel
Take to the clear waters surrounding the island! Sail across the waves to an area where you may spot marine life, such as corals, mollusks, crustaceans and tropical fish.
Bike: Akivi Taha
Cycle into the town of Hanga Roa. Follow a dirt road to the platform of the seven moai, Ahu Akivi. Along the way, wind past pineapple, taro and yam plantations. Continue along the coast, passing the Te Peu platform and Ahu Tahai, which dates to AD 690.

Easter Island / Santiago
Following a morning activity (time permitting) and breakfast, transfer to the airport for your return flight to Santiago. (B)
