Trust your Educational Adventure to International Expeditions
International Expeditions has spent 27 years specializing in educational and exciting adventures to some of the Earth’s most remarkable destinations. While we are continually expanding the scope of our destinations around the world, we are also dedicated to making available in-depth learning experiences. We are pleased to reintroduce our Educational Adventures series to the Amazon and Belize.
Our purpose is to help you develop an understanding and appreciation of the natural wonders of our Earth. Each of our Educational Adventures focus on areas of unique natural history and beauty, as well as offer an opportunity to combine learning experiences with adventure and exposure to research efforts.
A History of Rainforest Education
Since our first International Rainforest Workshop was held in March of 1991, International Expeditions has taken thousands of participants — ordinary people with a passion to learn more about these vital habitats — on our incredible Educational Adventures to the Amazon and Belize. Our educational workshops encompass a variety of special interests including student and family, pharmacy and healthcare, and conservation workshops, all designed to illuminate your understanding of Earth and our role as stewards for its preservation.
Our Workshops are Making Headlines
(Travel Channel) … At the heart of the show is the belief
that travel has the power to transform us and it is the journey,
not the destination, that is key. Your expeditions embody these ideas

(Discovery Channel) The @discovery.ca program which features…the “Pharmacy
from the Rainforest” workshop in the Amazon…was one of
the highlights of the season. In addition, the response from colleagues
and viewers has been very enthusiastic. It was a real pleasure to work

(Men’s Health) With the most extensive rainforest travel
and education program in the United States, International Expeditions
has something for everyone. The work shop that Mark Jenkins attended
was “Pharmacy
from the Rainforest,: but there are also workshops on international
health, ecology, therapeutics and half a dozen more. They’re
staffed by the top scientists in the field, so you’ll learn more
than you can imagine.
(Drug Topics) The week-long Amazonian adventure.. attracted pharmacists,
pharacognosists, physicians, herbalists, nurses, educators, students
and laymen, all interested in learning about the healing plants of
the Peruvian rainforest… who couldn’t resist the allure
of the seven-day continuing education program in the Amazon Basin of
Peru. Explorama Lodge, a structure made entirely of materials from
the surrounding rainforests, served as the base camp for our expedition..
[it] was the perfect setting to learn about the rainforest and its
potential contribution to medical science.
