Before your intimate exploration of the Galapagos Islands, get to know Guayaquil – the largest and most populous city in Ecuador. Enjoy a majestic view of the city from Santa Ana Hill, and stroll along the banks of the Guayas River, where you can enjoy art galleries, craft shops and quaint parks.
Day 1 • Thursday U.S. / Guayaquil Depart the U.S. this evening for Guayaquil, Ecuador, where you are met and transferred to our hotel. (Meals Aloft)
Day 2 • Friday Guayaquil This afternoon we enjoy a city tour, including a visit to the traditional origin of the city — Santa Ana Hill — for a sweeping view of the city. From there we head to Malecón 2000, an area of cafes, monuments and shopping running along the Guayas River. (B)
