The Amazon and Galapagos Islands are a dynamic environment where an incredible, rare sighting can happen at any moment. That is why your photo instructor Zapa is also a skilled naturalist with years of experience in the field! Brazilian Cassiano Zaparoli — “Zapa” — discovered his passion for bird photography when he first photographed the beautiful spectacled owl, and has now captured almost every recorded species in Brazil’s Southern Pantanal, where he works as an Expedition Leader and Naturalist. Zapa has guided for NWF and Smithsonian groups, and his work has been used by such organizations as the World Wildlife Fund.
"Zapa really spent time giving individual lessons to people in the field, as well as giving nightly talks on things like shutter speed, aperture, ISO and even how to use Photoshop. In my opinion, he was the best I have been with."
