John and Barbara Gerlach

Prolific photographers John and Barbara Gerlach have helped more than 50,000 photography enthusiasts improve their wildlife and nature photography through their highly popular nature photo workshops. John earned a B.S. Degree in Wildlife Ecology from Central Michigan University, and is a versatile photographer equally at home making landscape images of Death Valley, photographing hummingbirds with multiple flashes, or making enchanting images of dewy dragonflies and butterflies. John is the associate editor of Nature Photographer magazine. Barbara's photos have been published in National Geographic, International Wildlife, National Wildlife, Birder’s World, Outdoor Photographer and numerous other magazines.

Cassiano Zaparoli

Brazilian Cassiano Zaparoli — “Zapa” — discovered his passion for bird photography when he first photographed the beautiful spectacled owl, and has now captured almost every recorded species in Brazil’s Southern Pantanal, where he works as an Expedition Leader and Naturalist. Zapa has guided for NWF and Smithsonian groups, and his work has been used by such organizations as the World Wildlife Fund.

Don Cohen

Don Cohen has had a keen interest in nature and wildlife photography, with a particular love of birds, for many years, and has been traveling worldwide in search of beautiful subjects. He has a large collection of gorgeous images on display at his website (www.dlcphoto.com) from areas such as the Galapagos Islands, Brazil, Peru, New Zealand, Costa Rica, Fiji, and Nova Scotia, along with diverse locations throughout the United States.

Continuously upgrading both his equipment and computer skills, Don has guided many photographers in their transition to digital photography, helped them learn how to get the most out of their cameras and improve their Photoshop skills.

Don has been leading photo tours since 2004 and working with International Expeditions, has also led trips to the Amazon River, the Pantanal in Brazil, and is now expanding these explorations to Africa!

George Ritchey

George's photo safari workshops cover a wide variety of essential concepts and techniques in digital photography and Photoshop

Alabama photographer George Ritchey brings more than 35 years of photography experience and a passion for wildlife and nature to our Amazon nature photo workshops. George’s skill as a lecturer and expertise in teaching photo workshops are in much demand. George has lead wildlife and nature photo workshops with the Alabama Zoological Society and Birmingham Zoo, as well as lecturing on photography for the Montgomery Photographic Society, Samford University and a variety of school districts. This prolific photographer has many credits to his name, including work featured in Animal Tracks, Birmingham Magazine, National Wildlife Federation educational material, The Robb Report and Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
