Arrive La Paz
Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to the hotel. There is time to settle in and rest before a privately guided ½ Day tour of La Paz and Moon Valley.
The City of La Paz and its surroundings can transport you to a mysterious past where any corner, any street, is a hidden treasure where adventure begins; a living history which treasures the pre Hispanic times with all their traditions and magic rites on its streets. The indigenous, colonial and modern areas, Indian Market, Witch Doctor's Market & breathtaking panoramas are all framed by the majestic "Illimani" mountain. Tiwanacu & Puma Pumku Ruins
Full Day private exploration of Tiwanacu and Puma Pumku Ruins.
Tiwanacu was during its splendor period, the largest city in the World and it is considered to be "the Cradle of the American Civilizations". The ruins of this great culture (1580 BC-1.200 AC) represent a high level of development and are characterized by their stone work, such as the Sun Gate, the Monoliths, the temples of Kalasasaya and Kontiki, the Akapana artificial Pyramid and their metal and ceramic art work are some examples of the advanced development achieved by this culture.
Pumapunku also called "Puma Pumku" or "Puma Puncu", is part of a large temple complex or monument group that is part of the Tiwanaku Site. In Aymara, its name means, "The Door of the Cougar". The Pumapunku complex consists of an un-walled western court, a central un-walled esplanade, a terraced platform mound that is faced with megalithic stone, and a walled eastern court.
The area within the kilometer separating the Pumapunku and Kalasasaya complexes has been surveyed using ground-penetrating radar, magnetometry, induced electrical conductivity, and magnetic susceptibility. The geophysical data collected from these surveys and excavations have revealed in the area between the Pumapunku and Kalasasaya contains the presence of numerous man-made structures. These structures include the wall foundations of buildings and compounds, water conduits, pool-like features, revetments, terraces, residential compounds, and widespread gravel pavements all of which now lie buried and hidden beneath the modern ground’s surface. La Paz-Lake Titicaca / Moon & Sun Island
After breakfast drive to Huatajata and join the hydrofoil cruise to Copacabana, visit the shrine and local market. Continue your Hydrofoil cruise to Moon Island, on this mystical Island are the ruins of the Iñak Uyu, Sun Virgins' Temple. Here the most beautiful maiden of the Incas where chosen to become the wives of the Inca nobles. The Virgins of the Sun were responsible of maintaining an eternal fire in devotion to their Inca God, "Viracocha".
Continue to Sun Island, According to the Andes cultures mythology, the Sun God Viracocha sent his son and daughter to earth, Manco Kapac and Mama Ojllo, to found the Inca Empire. Visit "Pilcocaina" Sun Temple before having lunch at Posada del Inca.
In the afternoon there is time to explore the surroundings and enjoy a Cross Cultural Integration with the Native Community. Overnight "Posada del Inca Eco Lodge" (BLD)
Sun Island – Huajata
Enjoy breakfast and the morning at leisure.
In the afternoon, visit the Inca Staircase & Sacred fountain, taste the sacred water believed to give eternal youth & happiness. Following lunch at "Uma Kollu" archaeological restaurant, visit a small handicraft market then continue to the hydrofoil for a cruise to Huatajata.
Experience the "Andean Roots Eco Village" and the Altiplano Museum, where a state of the art audio system will explain the cultural heritage of the Aymaras and the Incas. Visit the Eco-Pueblo and admire the Mud Igloos of the Urus Chipayas; meet the Limachi Family, builders of the RA II and Tigris for Thor Heyerdhals epic expeditions across the Atlantic Ocean.
Spend some time at the Kallawaya Natural Spa where thousands of years' old methods and treatments for stress and well-being are still in use. In the evening visit "The Mystic World of the Kallawayas", natural healers of Bolivia that are authorized by law to practice natural medicine. They believe that you first have to heal the soul in order to heal your body. "Tata Benjo", -our Kallawaya- will bless visitors and answer questions by casting his sacred coca leaves.
Following dinner, there is an evening visit to the Native Observatory Alajpacha". Learn from the AymarasCosmovision & view the Southern constellations. Overnight at "Inca Utama Hotel & Spa" (BLD)
Uyuni – Salt Flats of Uyuni
Transfer to the airport this morning for the flight to Uyuni.
Visit the largest salt flat on Earth, located on the Bolivian Andean Altiplano which covers an area of 4632 square miles. The Bolivian Andes offer stunning sceneries that are definitely hard to match. The silence makes the heart beat faster and the surreal pentagons of crystalline salt, the pure sky, the cacti and the flamingos, will certainly make you feel like there isn’t any place in the world like it !
Continue to Colchani village, the Eyes of the lake and the Salt Museum Overland transfer to Isla Pescado; at a distance this island has the shape of a fish. Its historical name is Inka Wasi. It is located at the center of the Uyuni salt pan. Nature has bestowed a singular type of flora on this place. The surface rocks contain fossils of marine algae. This is the largest island in the group that forms an isolated oasis-type ecosystem within the salt pan; the landscape against the background of the salt pans -extending to the horizon- makes it an ideal place for photography. Lunch at a local restaurant on Isla Pescado.

Uyuni Salt Flats / Siloli Desert
Drive to the Siloli Desert, in southern Potosi, home to several unusual rock formations caused by wind erosion which were once an inspiration for Dali’s surreal landscapes. En-route visit San Cristobal village, this small altiplano village still maintains small houses made of adobe. Continue to Laguna Hedionda, a small lagoon that has a characteristic smell of sulphate due the mineral composition of its water, here you will able to observe, at close range, the beautiful flamingos.

Red Lagoon - Sol de Mañana Geyser - Green Lagoon - Uyuni.PVT
Following breakfast, visit the famous Stone tree. Enter to the National Park Eduardo Avaroa, with a surface of 714,745 hectares, located to the southwest of Potosi in the province of Sud Lipez. The local fauna features unique species adapted to the extreme living conditions in this region, some of them endangered. This place it is unique thanks to its lakes, salt pans, volcanoes, snowcapped peaks, plains, thermal springs, some rivers rich in algae and plankton, geothermal geysers, flora and general topography. Laguna Colorada runs through a unique landscape of deserts and mountains. With an area of 23 square miles, at an altitude of 14,036 feet, Laguna Colorada it is characterized by the red tone of its waters. It is inhabited by flocks of flamingoes of three species: tokoko -with red plumage-;chururu -with whitish plumage- and jututu, with pink plumage. The scenery is exceptionally beautiful at these heights, set off by the impressive redness of the Lagoon. This is considered to be the most important flamingo watching site in the region. Also vicuñas, llamas and vizcachas can be seen.
Continue to “Sol de Mañana” Geysers, with fumaroles and volcanic craters of spectacular formation, covering ½ mile, featuring intense volcanic and fumaroles activity. The crater bottoms display boiling lava; the fumaroles emit spouts of mixed water and superheated steam reaching 265 to 325 feet high; this phenomena display a landscape dating from the beginning of the Earth's history. This geothermal field is located at an altitude of over 16,000 feet.
Visit Laguna Verde, looking as a giant emerald, from where there is an impressive view of Licancabur Volcano, at an altitude of 19,243 feet. The special brightness of its green waters in the afternoon is dazzling. The intensely green coloring is due to a high magnesium content.
Return to Uyuni and transfer to your hotel in the town, you will have the opportunity to visit the surroundings on your free time. Overnight Hotel Tambo Aymara 3* or similar.
Uyuni / La Paz
Transfer to the airport for the local flight to La Paz. Transfer to the hotel where the balance of the Day is at leisure.
