Heading off on travel adventure is certainly exciting, yet with all of the flurry that comes with planning and preparing for one of these journeys, it's easy to take one's eyes off the prize. How well you pack for nature travel is an important factor for how much you enjoy your trip, and of the many suggestions one can offer for these natural expeditions, the best may be to pack light.

First, consider your accommodations. In traditional vacations, a hotel serves as a home base where you can drop your bags and leave them in the closet until checkout. Yet many eco-tours may be more mobile in nature, and it will be a lot simpler to adapt to a new location without having to unload and reload large bags every night.

With that in mind, be sure to consider the amount of walking you will be doing. It would certainly be simpler lugging around heavy photography equipment on a Nile cruise expedition than it would be on the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu.

Travelers may also want to use several space saving techniques like layering clothes. When dealing with locations where temperatures vary wildly, it is simpler to wear two layers of cooler clothes than to pack an additional set of warm ones.
