Travel Planner Charlie Weaver (shown here in Patagonia) has spent the past seven days on International Expeditions' Amazon River cruise and has cell service as La Amatista heads back toward Iquitos (go figure!).

11:00 a.m.: Our excursions are amazing! We have  seen lots of pink dolphins, blue-and-gold macaws, hoatzins, a chestnut-eared araçari, an emerald tree boa, a fer-de-lance and numerous other birds.

1:30 p.m.: "Played soccer in a village. We were doing well until the village elders joined in."

4:30 p.m.: Everyone always wants to know what monkeys they might see on our Amazon tour, so we've asked Travel Planner Charlie Weaver who is on Day 7 of his Voyage. His report: Squirrel monkeys, capuchins, monk sakis, red howlers, saddleback tamarins and pygmy marmosets.

9:00 p.m.: Our Amazon guides are amazing! They guide all day, make amazing wildlife spots, help cook dinner at night, and then play perfectly in the band. Last night was Beatles night.
