Nile Safari Camp

Nile Safari Camp is a rustic 12-bedroom lodge perched on the edge of the Victoria Nile in Murchison Falls National Park. This peaceful camp offers rooms which are comfortably equipped with en suite bathroom facilities, electrical lighting, room service, and private balcony. The rooms range from luxury tents to traditional log chalets with magnificent views of the Nile from the private verandahs. At night, you can hear the hippos grunting below, and in the morning, blackface vervet monkeys scamper across your verandah before your waiter brings you morning tea or coffee. The pool area provides a relaxing environment and beautiful scenery as well as the dining room and bar which overlook the river – perfect for relaxing after a day of Uganda travel.

Ndali Lodge

The lodge sits on the narrow rim of an extinct volcano which, since its demise, has filled with water to become the breathtaking Lake Nyinambuga. There is a main thatched lodge with spacious sitting room, reception area and dinning room flanked by 8 cottages providing luxurious accommodation for guests. The cottages, built of local stone and thatch, face west to offer a panoramic view of the spectacular 'Mountains of the Moon'. The interiors are imaginatively and comfortably furnished, the decor emphasizing local materials. Each cottage has en-suite facilities with bath, shower, WC and hand basin and a private verandah, perfect for watching the sun setting behind the snow-capped peaks of Rwenzori Mountains. The lodge has no electricity or generators to distract from the beautiful and natural bush atmosphere.

Gorilla Forest Camp

Our Uganda tour accommodations at Gorilla Forest Camp are nestled in the mist-swathed rainforests of a mountainside in the heart of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The location of this luxury tented camp within the park's boundaries affords Gorilla Forest Camp the status of being the ideal base for gorilla tracking, primate viewing and birding excursions. Our Uganda travel accommodations are in double tents, raised on wooden platforms, each with en-suite facilities and hot and cold running water, WC, basin and unusually – a bathtub looking out onto the forest. Each tent has a spacious wooden verandah where guests can relax, enjoy a private meal and absorb the exotic mystery of the surrounding rainforest that provided the inspiration for the animation of Disney's The Jungle Book. The Gorilla Forest Camp offers a bar and dining cottage overlooking the rain forest, as well as a raised natural platform for open air dining. At night, a traditional African campfire is lit from where a lecture might be given by a visiting primatologist, the gorilla briefings are undertaken or guests simply admire the myriad brilliance of Bwindi's crystal clear mountain sky.

Mihingo Lodge

Mihingo Lodge is a peaceful luxurious retreat adjacent to Lake Mburo National Park. Situated on 200 privately owned acres, its rooms are built on wooden platforms and stilts, covered by a thatched roof. Suspended under the thatched roof is a spacious and comfortable tent equipped with en-suite bathrooms, including hot and cold running water, showers and flush toilets. Placed in varied settings, some rooms are situated in a forest setting, some with a lake view, and some on rock outcrops, or kopjes. Electricity is provided by solar panels and there is a natural water catchment system to take advantage of the rains and seasonal streams. The main dining area is a large thatched structure built from rocks, the wood of olive trees, and native grasses. Below the dining area, an infinity swimming pool stretches out from the rocks and seems to disappear into the vast landscape beyond. Animals gathering in the valley will provide guests with fantastic game viewing opportunities or a chance to relax and watch wildlife at water hole and salt lick below the pool.
